Thank you, Dr. Johnston!

The ML-RCP team would like to acknowledge Dr. David Johnston, former Assistant to Chief Scientist, of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Aerospace Systems Directorate (RQ) for his role as a member of the Minority Leaders – Research Collaboration Program (ML-RCP) Advisory Board.  We had the privilege of working with Dr. Johnston who was instrumental in providing guidance and input on strategic direction of the program supporting the entire AFRL enterprise.  Dr. Johnston was closely involved in the awarding of approximately 20 new contracts to support his Directorate allowing our membered schools to become involved in the Aerospace Systems mission. Likewise, he ensured students were prevalent in the research, and he made provisions to bring them into his Directorate for the summer.  His leadership and mentoring contributions to the program were enormous, and we wish him the very best of luck as he continues in his career!
